Update 1999: Finless Porpoises

On December 3, 1999, we received the following email from nature photographer Sandy Rosenberg:

Don,

I came across your website today while looking to see if there were any pictures of Qi Qi on the net. I just saw him a couple of weeks ago and he was doing well. There are now two juvenile finless porpoises in the main tank. It is hoped that they will mate and they do appear quite bonded, swimming completely synchronously. I was allowed to take pictures freely and will get them on my website as soon as I can. The facility remains much as you described it, neglected. The people were warm and welcoming, however. I'm incredibly jealous that you got to see the finless porpoises in the wild. On the other hand, I did get to see the Chinese White (really pink) Dolphin in the wild off Hong Kong.
